What is True Spirituality?
Much of our Western approach to understanding ‘spirituality’, outside of ‘organised religion’, more recently derives its origins and values, in the ‘new age’, from places such as, India and Tibet. Many of these origins have been interpreted as a need to give things up; to be humble and accepting of our unworthiness; to gain deeper understanding through adversity; and so on. Some of these approaches have also led to many becoming smug in their practised ascetism. However, Seth says this:
“True spirituality is a thing of joy and of the earth, and has nothing to do with fake adult dignity. It has nothing to do with long words and sorrowful faces. It HAS to do with the dance of consciousness that is within you, and with the sense of spiritual adventure that is within your hearts.
“That is the meaning of spirituality; and as I have told you before, if I could I would do a merry dance about the room to show you that your vitality is not dependent upon a physical image.
“It is not dependent upon your youth, it is not dependent upon your body. It rings and sings through the universe, and through your entire personality. It is a sense of joy that makes all creativity probable.
“So do not think you are being spiritual when you are being long faced, and do not think you are being spiritual when you berate yourself for your sins. The seasons within your system come and go. The sun falls upon your face whether you think you are a sinner or a saint.
“The vitality of the universe is creativity and joy and love, and THAT is spirituality. And that is what I shall tell the readers of my book.”

And Abraham would say:
“See this world as a free world, and see everyone in it as trying through their individual experiences to find their way back to that calling, back to that Source Energy. And even though there are billions of them going about it in a way that is different than you would choose, there’s no right or wrong way. In other words, bless them all, and get on with the only thing you have any power about, which is opening or closing your vortex to your natural state of Well-Being.”
